FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS THE TYPE OF PAPER FOR THE KIDS’ MURALS? A flame resistant paper, certified as a commercial Type II wall covering is used, which is easy to clean and maintain. The paper is latex-saturated, similar to vinyl-coated paper, which could be removed if the recommended wall preparation and pastes are applied.
WHAT WOULD BE THE FINISH OF THE MURALS' PAPER? After printing with archival inks and final coating applied, the paper has a luster finish.
IS THE PAPER PRE-PASTED? The paper is not pre-pasted. List of recommended products for hanging is sent with each package. The customer has a choice to frame the images if smaller, so pre-pasting in many cases would be unnecessary.
CAN I ATTACH THE MURAL ON THE WALL BY MYSELF? Although each print comes with detailed instructions of how to be attached directly, it is advisable to hire a professional wallpaper installer if the print is too large. If you order a mural that runs up to 4' wide, its length could be much larger than a standard wallpaper rolls.
WHEN CAN I EXPECT MY FINISHED MURALS? The murals are not in stock. Each one will be made according to client specification. It is usually shipped within two weeks after proof approval. In general, allow three-four weeks for delivery.
AT WHAT HEIGHT TO MOUNT THE MURALS? Please consider positioning larger murals on the wall about 3 feet from the floor. This is the area that is usually exposed to more damage from kids walking, playing, etc.
USE OF POSTER TAPE. If you are not sure about exactly where to place the mural, you can experiment using a removable Double-stick Scotch® Poster Tape sold at office supply stores. Cut small sections of it and place it on the back corners of the print and if needed, on more places close to the edge. After you are satisfied with its location, mark the corners of the print by using Scotch® Blue Painter Tape, or any other type of removable tape.
